Project TCM: AI-driven diagnostics for Traditional Chinese Medicine
Project TCM builds technology that supports Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners and a marketplace platform that connects Chinese Medicine Halls with the people they serve.
What Project TCM builds
TCM is practised in Malaysia through clinics and Chinese Medicine Halls. Diagnosis in this setting rests heavily on the individual practitioner's training and experience. Project TCM applies artificial intelligence to support that diagnostic work, so that practitioners can work with more consistent information.
Two parts, one venture
- Diagnostic technology. AI-driven tools designed for use inside TCM practices, with the practitioner remaining the decision-maker.
- Marketplace platform. A platform for Chinese Medicine Halls to reach customers and manage their offering.

Diligence points
What a co-investor should examine
We would rather a financier test the venture hard than rely on a headline. These are the areas we expect careful questions about.
- Regulation. Health technology sits within medical-device, traditional-medicine and data-protection rules. We assess the regulatory position as part of diligence and keep the practitioner in the decision loop.
- Adoption. Practitioners must find the tools useful in a working clinic. We treat practitioner feedback as a core input.
- Data quality. Diagnostic tools are only as sound as the data and clinical knowledge behind them.
- Marketplace economics. A two-sided platform needs both Halls and customers before it works.
