Edward brings over two decades of investment banking and capital markets experience. Formerly Executive Director and Independent Director of nine different listed companies with diverse business interests. Previously served as CFO of one of Malaysia's largest land owners and master developers, and held Senior Director positions in several Corporate Finance Advisory Firms.

Formerly executive director of three ACE Market-listed companies: Focus Dynamics Group Berhad, Fintec Global Berhad and VSolar Group Berhad.
Formerly independent director of Main Market-listed companies, including QSR Brands (M) Berhad, where he was Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee. Other boards include Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad, Damansara Realty Berhad, Iskandar Waterfront City Berhad and Ekovest Berhad.
Formerly Group Chief Financial Officer of Iskandar Waterfront Holdings Sdn Bhd.
Formerly executive director of Acritaz Group, working in biotechnology, agriculture technology and business incubation.
Founding member and executive director of Newfields Advisors Sdn Bhd, a boutique financial and corporate advisory firm.

Dr. KL LooiCA(M), FCA(ICAEW) BTCM, PhD

Dr. Looi brings exceptional expertise in technology investments and institutional finance. Formerly Executive Director of a Listed Technology Incubator focusing on high-growth tech-based investments. Served in senior management roles at Malaysia's leading investment banks and boutique advisory firms. Additionally holds credentials as a certified and licensed Chinese Medical practitioner.

Career highlights

Formerly a merchant banker with AmMerchant Bank Berhad, in a managerial role in its corporate finance department. Also formerly Vice President of Newfields Advisors Sdn Bhd.
Founding promoter of Asia Bioenergy Group, now Fintec Global Berhad, a listed company. His experience covers biotechnology and green technology.
Completed a Bachelor in Traditional Chinese Medicine with first-class honours, winning the President's Award at INTI International University, and holds a doctorate (PhD) in Health Sciences.
Certified Practitioner of Wellness Medical Qigong. Technical advisor and reviewer for a guide on TCM treatment of specialised diseases for overseas practitioners.
Devotes part of his time to philanthropy, including charity acupuncture clinics.

Kumaraguru brings strategic research and sector expertise to our investment analysis. Formerly served as Head of Strategic Research at one of Malaysia's Sovereign Funds. Previously a Director at a leading international research firm managing the Oleochemical Portfolio. Extensive leadership experience across international Oleochemical and FMCG companies, providing deep sector knowledge and market insights.

Jeffrey SalehLLB (London), CLP

Jeffrey brings over a decade of legal experience across corporate governance, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, civil litigation, information technology and conveyancing. He started practice as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2012 and has been an in-house legal advisor since 2014, including leading the legal teams of an ACE Market company and a Main Market company listed on Bursa Malaysia. He has conducted acquisitions from legal due diligence through to finalised agreements. In 2022 he was appointed to the board of Spectrum Outdoor Marketing Sdn Bhd, an out-of-home media owner in Malaysia.
